The "Thanks" Button

There is a "Thanks" button on this forum, however, only the TOPIC STARTER (thread creator) can see it when someone else posts in the topic starter's thread.  

For example, let's say I start a thread.  When someone replies to my thread, the thank button will show up in their post and I will have the option of "thanking" them for their reply.  But if i were to reply on someone else's topic/thread, I will not be able to see or utilize the "thanks" button.  

When someone "thanks" you for your reply on their topic/thread, you will receive reputation points ("props").  I have not figured out if notifications for "thanks" is possible as of yet.

Yeah, the thanks button system is hella lame.  All it really does it increase your "props" count (points or something).

and you can only use it one time in an entire thread.  What's even the point of it?  lol.  Still looking to see if there's a script code to change it or whatever.

Do you get a notification or just props?

As far as I can tell, you do not receive ye olde notification when you are thanked, just 3 points added to props.

We can, howeva, change what "Props" can be called. and we could even make it so that when someone is thanked they get, like, a billion points for it or something lol
